Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing poliato.app or the Poliato application at dashboard.poliato.app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the services.
2. The service
Poliato is a software-as-a-service platform for CMMC policy and procedure documentation, including wizard-driven generation, acknowledgement campaigns, version control, tabletop exercises, and audit-readiness reporting. Features and pricing are described on /features and /pricing.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, keeping credentials secure, and the activity of users you invite. You must be authorized to act on behalf of your organization.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Subscriptions are annual unless stated otherwise. You may pay monthly over the annual term or prepay annually for a discount. Founding-member rates lock published pricing for three years, subject to the limits described on the pricing page at the time of signup.
5. Free trial
The 14-day trial includes full feature access and a set of editable sample policies. We will not charge you during the trial. If you don't convert, you keep any PDFs you exported.
6. Customer content
You retain ownership of the policies, procedures, acknowledgement records, and other content you create using Poliato ("Customer Content"). You grant Poliato a non-exclusive license to host and process Customer Content solely to provide the service. PDF exports remain usable by you regardless of subscription status.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to violate law, infringe others' rights, attempt to interfere with service availability, or upload material you don't have the right to upload. Don't share account credentials with people outside your organization.
8. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's confidential information with the same care it uses for its own. Customer Content is treated as confidential.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is." Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where reasonable.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate for material breach if not cured within 30 days of notice. On termination, you may export your PDFs through the platform until the end of the paid term.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Poliato provides a documentation platform; it does not guarantee passage of any specific CMMC assessment, which depends on factors outside our control (your environment, your assessor, your processes). To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to amounts paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted here with a revised date. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
